Shi Hu is a PhD student in machine learning at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Max Welling and Prof. Bram van Ginneken. His work focuses on deep generative models with applications in medical image analysis. Shi obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo and master’s degree from Stanford University, both in computer science. He previously interned at Microsoft Research Redmond, Amazon and RIM.
